You can search our clinic on google and write us a review on there, or we can send you an email with the link on if you ask.

I am insured and would like to use this insurance to cover the cost of my treatment, can I do this?2021-11-09T13:03:00+00:00

We accept all major private health insurances, including Aviva, AXA and Bupa. When you ring up to book an appointment, say you have private health insurance and we will check whether we are registered with them.

You will need to provide us with your membership number, authorisation number and how many sessions your insurance have authorised when booking your appointment.

If you cannot make your appointment please ring us as soon as possible on 02476641214. If you cancel your appointment late (less than 24 hours notice) or you do not attend your appointment you may be charged.

You will need to obtain a ‘Subject Access Request’ form from the practice manager at the clinic which you will need to sign. To do this please ring the clinic on 02476641214.

Please allow up to 30 days for the records to be released.

Routine physiotherapy treatment 1 hour appointment = £75

Sports therapy massage 30 minute appointment = £45

Acupuncture ( conditions: stress, addiction, migraines, fertility, weight loss) 45 minute appointment = £75

Women’s Health 1 hour appointment = £90 to £120 depending on condition please ring us if you require further information

Neuro/Stroke 1 hour appointment = £90 to £120 depending on condition please ring us if you require further information

Vestibular 1 hour = £120

Vestibular 40 minutes =£90.00

Home Visits are available costs start from £110 depending on distance from clinics please ring for more information.

Do I need to let my physiotherapist know that I am pregnant of there is a chance that I could be?2021-11-09T12:38:04+00:00

If you are pregnant or there is a chance that you could be pregnant please inform your physiotherapist/practitioner as this could affect the treatment that you might receive. However, it should not stop you receiving treatment all together.

Yes. Our practitioners are trained in manipulation if this is appropriate following your assessment.

If you would like to speak to a physiotherapist/practitioner please call us on 02476641214 and ask the receptionist that you wish to speak to someone before booking an appointment and we can arrange this for you.

On your first consultation the practitioner will complete a thorough assessment of your condition and talk to you about your lifestyle and how your condition is effecting that. They will also talk to you about your diagnosis and discuss a treatment plan with you. They will also start some treatment during your first appointment.

What should I bring to my appointment?2021-11-09T12:19:19+00:00

If you have had any other investigations for this condition such as X-rays or scans, please bring a copy of the report with you if you have it.

If you have a referral letter from you GP or consultant please bring that with you, however this is not compulsory. You do not have to be referred to us to make an appointment.

It would also help if you could bring a list of any medication you are currently taking.

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment>2021-11-09T12:03:22+00:00

You are welcome to bring a relative or friend to accompany you during your appointment.

If you are bringing a child with you, we ask that they are able to entertain themselves during your appointment.

Children under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian to their first appointment. It can be discussed with the practitioner if this will be required at future appointments.

Yes we do treat children. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to ask questions relating to your child’s condition before booking an appointment.

We do sell gift vouchers for you to give to someone as a gift. Please ring us on 02476641214 if you would like to buy one of these.

Nuneaton Clinic: There is a pay and display nearby or there is free parking in the Asda for 2 hours

Tamworth Clinic: There is free parking on the street in front of the pharmacy or a pay and display nearby

Warwick – Chase Meadow Clinic: There is free parking in the shopping area in front of the clinic or free street parking nearby

Warwick – Podiatry Clinic: There is free parking in the Sainburys for 3 hours which is opposite the clinic

Coventry Clinic: There is free parking in front of the surgery and also on the street nearby

Smethwick Clinic: There is free parking on Dibble Road and a pay and display on the high street

Nuneaton Clinic: Yes, we have a ramp to access the building and there are rooms downstairs

Tamworth Clinic: No

Warwick – Chase Meadow Clinic: Yes, there is a lift to the room upstairs

Warwick – Podiatry Clinic: No, it does have a lift to the room upstairs however there is a step into the building

Coventry Clinic: Yes, there is a lift to the room upstairs

Smethwick Clinic: Yes, the room is downstairs and it is fully accessible

We cannot tell you when booking in how often you will need treatment. This will depend on your condition and the diagnosis. Your practitioner will talk to you about this during your first appointment.

I would like to receive my treatment from someone of the same gender as myself?2021-11-09T11:32:54+00:00

If you would like to been by a practitioner of the same gender, you can ask for this when booking your appointment and we will try and accommodate you.

Payment will be requested prior to the first appointment. We accept payment by cash, cheque bank transfer or debit cards. We do not accept credit cards.

Is my practitioner fully qualified?2021-11-09T11:28:39+00:00

Our Physiotherapists are chartered and registered with the Health Professions Council. A Chartered Physiotherapist is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) which is the professional regulatory body of the profession. This means that the physiotherapist has undergone an approved course of training, and is governed by a professional code of practice. The physiotherapist is also insured to provide treatment services. Our Physiotherapists have varying areas of expertise so our Receptionist will ask the nature of your problem to book you with the most appropriate team member.

Do I need to see my doctor before I make an appointment?2017-06-27T15:46:43+01:00

You do not need to have a doctor’s referral to see a physiotherapist at Ankerside. However, if you plan to claim from medical health insurance, your insurers may insist that you see a Doctor first. Make sure you check the details of your scheme. We are registered with all major insurance companies.

What should I wear for my appointment?2024-01-12T13:06:35+00:00

We suggest that you wear comfortable clothing, The physiotherapist will need to examine the area of the body that is troubling you and also areas that may be linked to your problem.

You may be asked to undress to enable us to assess the area needing treatment so please wear appropriate clothing eg if top half of body is being treated wear vest top and separate bottoms, if lower body please wear wide leg trousers or shorts as we will need to expose the area/body part being treated.

If you feel at all uncomfortable about undressing, please discuss it with your Physiotherapist you are welcome to bring a chaperone with you.
